I am beyond excited to announce that I have accepted the DMA Brass Quintet Assistantship at the University of Georgia to study with, and work alongside Professor David Zerkel.
These last few months have been exhausting for both myself and Nicole Kukieza, but after putting a lot of thought into what path to take, we agreed that joining the UGA family and the legacy of the UGA brass department, would, above all else be the right decision for us.
My time at Yale, although seemingly brief, was full of beautiful memories, new friendships, unforgettable music making, and firsts.
Friendships aren’t about proximity or convenience. Despite the growing distance between all of us, our bonds will continue to strengthen and thrive over time.
Thank you to the love of my life, my family, mentors, teachers, colleagues, and friends for inspiring and encouraging me always to look up.
Does this mean I’ll have to start watching college football?
Wish us luck!
