Yesterday was my last concert with the Lynn Philharmonia, stressful yes, but special nonetheless.
A few years back I found myself lost, changing majors every few months, and not knowing where I wanted my life to go. At the advice of a friend, Billy Rueckert, I switched schools. This was the best change I could have made. Lynn’s Conservatory of Music did much more for me than just teach me music, it once again ignited my passion for the arts and gave my life purpose and direction. As I sit here writing this, I am amazed at all of the opportunities that have come my way since coming here. Yes, of course there were a lot of sleepless nights and hard work involved, but I would be in denial if I did not give part of the credit to this amazing place, my colleagues and all of my professors.
It’s time to move on! And yes, I am ready to move on! BUT know this, I am moving on because of the guidance you have all given me. Three years ago I was lost and now now I find myself going to one of the greatest institutions in the world, Yale, full of fire and most importantly plans and ideas!
“Although everyone has the potential to succeed, not everyone is presented with the opportunities to succeed”
Thank you all at the Lynn Conservatory of music for presenting me with the opportunities to succeed.
